Karah belives a trusting and collaborative relationship is essential in therapy, and
she provides children, adolescents, families and adults with a warm and
non-judgmental atmosphere in which to explore their experiences,
feelings and concerns. Her goal as a therapist is to help clients
develop a better understanding of themselves, improve their insight
and understanding into their feelings and behaviors, and help them
make positive changes in their lives to improve relationships and
other issues that might be causing them difficulty.
Through this process, she uses various therapy techniques including
cognitive-behavioral therapy, insight oriented therapy, and solution
focused therapy. She also provides support, compassion, encouragement
and education to help individuals draw upon their strengths as they
address the issues that have brought them into treatment.
Karah has experience working with clients who present with mood
disorders, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, post-traumatic
stress disorder, anxiety disorders, relationship issues, adolescent
issues, low self-esteem, and parenting concerns. If you or your child
are experiencing any of the above or just feel like you need someone
to talk to, Karah welcomes the opportunity to work with you.
She has office hours well into the evening
during the week.
